'Taphophilia' Top Hat

A love of funerals, cemeteries and the rituals of death

This is an authentic vintage top hat, made in Sweden. I believe it’s moleskin but I’m not entirely sure. 

The brim sports a generous wreath of traditional funeral flowers; white lilies and roses, with tiny hand sculpted and painted headstones scattered amongst them. A trail made of a vintage funeral veil finishes this macabre beauty off.

The flowers were acquired second hand, making this an entirely recycled and eco friendly piece!

The circumference of this hat is 54 centimeters.
